It comes in many shapes and sizes.
It appears when you don’t want it.
It breeds unease, leaving you restless… on edge… apprehensive.
But then again, angst may have a constructive edge — although I doubt it.
We can understand the depths of worry and the perils of overthinking.
And we all have occasional bouts of irritability.
But when angst pokes its ugly head under the tent flap of consciousness… Watch out!
That’s when you do things better left undone.
Angst is a demon curse by some merciless joker beyond time and space.
He, she, or it pushes out the angst like hotcakes on a frosty day.
Yet, it fails to provide the warmth that comforts.
It burns too fiercely to be enjoyed.
And it freezes too bitterly to comprehend.
It’s all things to all people, as unique as a lost goldfish in the vast ocean.
Angst has no place in your world!
Send it back in time and space.
Kiss it goodbye.
